Terms and Conditions
Effective 15 September 2026 · Applies to the Digu mobile app and diguapp.com
The short version
- Digu is operated by DIGU APP, a registered business in the Republic of Maldives owned by Inventual Maldives. Maldivian law governs these terms.
- Anything in the game that turns out to be contrary to Maldivian law, to accepted good practice, or to Islamic principles is stopped immediately — including a feature we built ourselves.
- Play fairly. Cheating, colluding, automating play, exploiting a bug or spamming other players can get an account suspended or banned.
- Coins are in-game items. They have no cash value, cannot be cashed out and cannot be traded.
- If an account is banned, free coins may be revoked. Purchased coins are not simply taken — we email the account holder and run a refund process for the purchased balance.
This summary is for orientation only. The sections below are the binding version.
1Who you are contracting with
Digu (the “Game”) is operated by DIGU APP (“we”, “us”, “our”), a business registered in the Republic of Maldives and owned by Inventual Maldives. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Digu mobile app, this website, and every service we provide through them.
You can reach us about anything in these Terms at support@diguapp.com.
2Accepting these Terms
By downloading, opening or playing Digu you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.
If you use Digu on behalf of a business or an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
3Who may play
You must be at least 13years old to hold a Digu account. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for agreeing to terms like these or for using an online service without a parent’s consent, that higher age applies to you.
If you are below the age of majority where you live, you may only use Digu with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms with you and is responsible for any payment made from your device.
You may not use Digu if we have previously banned you, or if the law where you are prohibits you from doing so.
4Your account
You can play as a guest or sign in with Google or Apple. A guest account exists only on that installation of the app: uninstalling it, resetting the device or moving to a new phone ends it permanently, together with its coins and history. We cannot recover a guest account, because nothing on it proves it was yours. Sign in if you want an account you can get back.
You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Tell us at once if you believe someone else is using your account.
One account per person. Creating additional accounts to gain an advantage — to farm free coins, to manipulate results, to sit at the same table twice, or to get around a ban — is a breach of these Terms.
Choose a display name you are willing to be seen by other players. We may reset a display name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or breaches these Terms, and we will tell you why.
5Lawful, ethical and Islamic conduct
Digu is a Maldivian game, operated from the Maldives, and it is meant to be played in a way that is lawful there and consistent with Islamic principles. This section binds both of us — you in how you play, and us in what we build and allow.
5.1 Our commitment
If any practice within the Game — whether by a player or in a feature we built ourselves — is contrary to the laws of the Republic of Maldives, to accepted good practice, or is found not to be permissible under Islamic principles, it will be stopped immediately. We will remove, disable or change it as soon as we become aware, without waiting for a release cycle and without regard to whether it was profitable. Where a change affects players, we will explain what changed and why.
If you believe something in Digu falls into any of those categories, tell us at support@diguapp.com. We would rather hear it from you than not hear it at all, and we will look at it seriously.
5.2 No gambling, no wagering, no cash-out
Digu is a game of skill played with in-game coins. It is not a gambling product and we do not intend it to become one:
- Coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or for anything of monetary value, and cannot be withdrawn, cashed out or transferred between accounts.
- There is no betting, staking or wagering feature in Digu, and no prize in money.
- You may not use Digu to gamble, to place or settle bets, or to run a wagering scheme between players, whether inside the Game or arranged outside it.
- You may not buy, sell, rent or exchange accounts, coins, codes or match results for money or for anything of value, and you may not advertise doing so to other players.
Attempting any of the above is a serious breach, and we treat it as a ground for immediate and permanent enforcement under section 7.
5.3 Your conduct towards others
You agree not to use Digu unlawfully, and not to harass, abuse, defame, threaten or discriminate against another player, our staff, or anyone else — including through a display name, a report, or a message sent to us.
6Fair play and prohibited conduct
The Game runs on our servers, which are the sole authority over every deal, move, score and result. Attempting to influence that from outside the Game is prohibited. Specifically, you must not:
- Cheat, or use any bot, script, macro, emulator, modified client or automation to play, to farm coins or to gain any advantage.
- Collude with another player — including through a second account of your own — to fix, share or manipulate the outcome of a match.
- Exploit a bug, a fault or an unintended behaviour instead of reporting it. Finding one is not wrong; farming it is.
- Interfere with, probe, overload, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Game, our servers, our APIs or any account that is not yours.
- Deliberately abandon matches, stall play or otherwise degrade the game for the people you are playing with.
- Spam — flooding tables, invites, reports or our mailboxes, or using Digu to advertise or promote anything without our written agreement.
- Abuse vouchers, promotions or the payment flow — including generating or guessing codes, submitting false transfer slips, claiming a payment you did not make, or raising a chargeback on a payment whose coins you have used.
- Impersonate another person, our staff, or a sponsor or partner of Digu.
7Enforcement, suspension and bans
7.1 What we may do
Where we reasonably believe an account has breached these Terms — in particular by cheating, by spamming, by colluding, by automating play, by exploiting a fault, by abusing payments or vouchers, or by any conduct falling under section 5 — we may take any of the following steps, in proportion to what happened and to whether it has happened before:
- Warn the account holder.
- Reverse or correct results, standings or balances that a breach produced.
- Reset a display name or an avatar.
- Suspend an account temporarily, or restrict access to a feature.
- Ban an account permanently.
- Refuse future purchases, or decline to issue further codes.
We may act on our own investigation, on reports from other players, or on our server records, and we may act immediately where the conduct is serious or is continuing.
7.2 What happens to coins on a ban
This is the part players most need to be clear about, so it is stated plainly. Digu distinguishes between coins you were given free — the weekly allowance and any promotional credit — and coins that were paid for, whether by you or by someone topping up your account.
A refund under this section is made in the currency of the original payment, less any amount already spent in the Game before the ban and any fee a payment provider charges to return the money. We process it once we have the details we asked for and have been able to verify them.
A banned account keeps no right to play, and a refund does not reinstate it.
7.3 Appeals
If you believe a decision was wrong, email support@diguapp.com from the address on the account and tell us when you last played and what you think happened. A person who did not make the original decision re-reads the reports and the match records behind it and replies either way — including when the answer is that the decision stands. We aim to do that within two business days.
We do not disclose what action we took against another player, or the details of how we detect cheating, since that would help the people we are trying to stop.
8Coins
8.1 What a coin is
Coins are a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable licence to use a feature of the Game. They are not money, not a deposit, not a security and not property. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or goods, cannot be transferred to another player, and confer no ownership of anything.
8.2 Free coins
Every player receives a free coin allowance that refreshes automatically each week. The refresh setsyour free balance rather than adding to it, so free coins do not accumulate week over week. The size of the allowance, the cost of a round and the timing of the refresh are part of the Game’s balance and may change.
8.3 Purchased coins
Coins that were paid for sit on top of the free allowance and are not affected by the weekly refresh. Free coins are spent before purchased ones. Purchased coins remain on the account until they are spent, the account is deleted, or section 7.2 applies.
8.4 Losing coins
Coins are lost when you spend them, when you delete your account, or when free coins are revoked under section 7. Deleting your account destroys its balance permanently and unspent coins are not refunded on deletion — spend them first. If we ever discontinue the Game, section 15 applies.
9Buying coins
9.1 How a purchase works
Coin packs can be bought in the app, or on diguapp.com/coins where someone is topping up on another device or for another player. Payment is by bank transfer against the details shown at checkout. You attach the transfer slip and submit the order; a member of our staff checks it and approves it, and approval is what credits the coins.
An order is an offer to buy, and no contract is formed until we approve it. We may reject an order — for example where the slip is unreadable, the amount does not match the pack, the payment cannot be traced, or we suspect fraud — and we will tell you the reason. A rejected order is not charged for; where money has reached us for an order we cannot approve, we return it.
Prices are shown at checkout and may change at any time before an order is placed. Local prices are in Maldivian Rufiyaa. You are responsible for any fee your own bank charges.
9.2 Refunds
Coins are delivered immediately on approval, so a purchase is final once the coins are credited. We will always correct our own mistakes — a duplicate charge, the wrong pack credited, money taken for an order that was rejected, or coins that never arrived. Write to support@diguapp.com and we will put it right.
Nothing here removes any right you have under the consumer law of the Republic of Maldivesor of the country you live in. If you believe you are entitled to a refund under such a law, tell us and we will deal with it properly. Where a purchase was made through the App Store or Google Play instead, that store’s refund process applies.
Refunds owed because an account was banned are governed by section 7.2.
9.3 Vouchers and promotional codes
Voucher codes are single-use, are credited to the account that redeems them, may carry an expiry date, and have no cash value. We may void a code that was issued in error, obtained unlawfully, duplicated, or used in breach of these Terms, and we may reverse the coins it credited.
10Matches, results and availability
Our servers hold the authoritative record of every match. Where the app on your device and our server disagree, the server governs.
Matches depend on a live connection. If you lose connection you may be able to return to a match that is still running; if you miss three turns in a row your seat is forfeited so the other players can finish, and a table that includes bots cannot be rejoined once you leave. A match that stops progressing is closed automatically. Coins spent on rounds already played are not returned in any of these cases.
We do not promise that the Game will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change, add or remove features, rules, balance, prices and content at any time. Where a change materially affects players we will give notice in the app where we reasonably can.
We may require you to update to a supported version of the app. Older versions may stop working.
11Content and intellectual property
The Game, its name, logo, artwork, card designs, sounds, code and everything else in it belong to DIGU APP and Inventual Maldives, or to our licensors, and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Game for your own entertainment, on a device you control, in accordance with these Terms. Everything not expressly granted is reserved.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, licence, publicly perform or create derivative works from any part of the Game, and you may not remove or obscure any notice of ownership in it.
Card-back artwork supplied by a sponsor or partner remains theirs and is used with permission. It is cosmetic only and never changes how the Game plays.
You keep whatever rights you have in what you submit — a display name, an avatar, or the text of a report — and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and use it to operate the Game, including showing your display name and avatar to other players.
12Privacy
What we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it and what rights you have are set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell your data, we show no third-party advertising, and we use no advertising identifiers or third-party tracking SDKs.
Where section 7.2 applies and we collect payout details in order to refund you, we use them for that refund and for the tax and accounting records the law requires, and for nothing else.
13Third-party services
Digu is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and uses Google and Apple for sign-in and Google for push notification delivery. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support for Digu. Where an app store’s own rules require a term that conflicts with these Terms for a purchase made through that store, that store’s rule prevails for that purchase.
14Ending your use of Digu
You can stop at any time. You can delete your account yourself in the app under Settings → Delete account, or, if you have already uninstalled it, at diguapp.com/delete-account. Deletion is permanent; coins, history and standings do not come back.
We may suspend or end your access under section 7, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with the law, to protect other players, or to protect the Game.
Sections that by their nature should survive — including 5.2, 7.2, 8, 11, 15, 16 and 17 — continue to apply after your account ends.
15Disclaimers
The Game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and conditions that are not expressly set out in these Terms, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Game will always be available, that matches will never be interrupted, that defects will always be corrected, or that the Game will meet your requirements.
If we discontinue the Game, we will give as much notice as we reasonably can. Coins and other in-game items will cease to have any function at that point, and, except where the law requires otherwise, no compensation is payable for unspent free coins.
16Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data arising from your use of the Game; and our total liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid us for coins in that period and MVR 500.
17Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, from your unlawful use of the Game, or from content you submit — except to the extent the claim arises from our own act or omission.
18Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Digu, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and the courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction. Where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, that right is not affected.
Please contact us first at support@diguapp.com. Most things are settled faster by email than by anything else, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it.
19Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Game changes or as the law requires. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, delete your account.
20General
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours if Digu is sold or reorganised, and we will tell you if that happens.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Game.
- These Terms are written in English. A translation, if we provide one, is for convenience and the English version governs.
