• The Digu app, this website, the Digu name and logo, the card artwork, sounds, interface, code and text are © 2026 DIGU APP, a registered business in the Republic of Maldives owned by Inventual Maldives. All rights reserved.
• Digu the card game is a traditional Maldivian game. We do not claim the rules — they belong to Maldivian culture. We claim our implementation of them.
• Play it, talk about it, screenshot it, stream it. Do not copy it, re-skin it, sell it, or pass your work off as ours.
• If you believe something in Digu infringes your copyright, email support@diguapp.com with the details in section 8. We review every notice and remove material where a claim is valid.

This summary is for orientation only. The sections below are the binding version.

1Who owns Digu

Digu (the “Game”) is operated by DIGU APP (“we”, “us”, “our”), a business registered in the Republic of Maldives and registered and owned by Inventual Maldives.

Unless this page says otherwise, everything that makes up the Game and this website is our property and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property law in the Maldives and internationally:

• The Digu mobile app for iOS and Android, and this website.
• The Digu name, logo, wordmark and visual identity.
• Card artwork and deck designs, card backs, table and background art, icons and illustrations.
• Sound effects, music and haptic patterns.
• The user interface — layouts, animations, screens and the way they fit together.
• Source code, game logic, server software and data formats.
• All text, including the rules as we have written them, help content, store listings and these legal pages.

2The game itself

Digu is a traditional Maldivian card game. Its rules, its name as the name of that game, and the way it has been played in the Maldives for generations are part of Maldivian culture. We did not invent them and we do not claim to own them. Anyone is free to play Digu with a physical deck, to teach it, to write about it, or to build their own version of it from the traditional rules.

What we own is our Digu: the specific way we have implemented the game in software, the artwork we drew, the brand we built around it, the code we wrote and the words we used. Someone building their own Digu game must do so with their own artwork, their own code, their own name and their own text — not with ours.

3Trademarks

“Digu” as used for the app, and the Digu logo, are marks of DIGU APP. You may not use them, or anything confusingly similar to them, as the name or branding of an app, game, website, product or service, or in any way that suggests we made, endorsed or are affiliated with something we did not make.

Apple, the Apple logo, App Store and iOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google Play, Android and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. They appear in the Game, on this website and in our store listings only to identify where the app is distributed and which devices it runs on. Neither company endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with Digu or DIGU APP. All other names and marks belong to their respective owners.

4Third-party content and open-source software

The Game and this website are built with open-source software and use fonts and other assets licensed from their owners. Each of those components remains the property of its author and is used under its own licence — those licences, not this page, govern the components they cover, and nothing here restricts what their licences allow.

A list of the open-source packages in the current app build and their licence notices is available on request: email support@diguapp.comwith the subject “Open source notices” and the version of the app you are running.

Card-back artwork supplied by a sponsor or partner remains theirs and appears in the Game with their permission. It is cosmetic only, and it may not be extracted or reused by anyone else.

5What you may do

Within the Terms and Conditions, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and play the Game on a device you control, for your own entertainment and not for commercial gain.

We are glad when people talk about Digu. You may, without asking us first:

• Take screenshots and short video clips of the Game and use them in reviews, articles, social-media posts, guides and similar coverage.
• Stream or record yourself playing Digu, including on monetised channels such as YouTube, Twitch or TikTok.
• Show the Digu name and logo when referring to the Game, as long as it is clear the content is yours and not ours.

In each case, please credit the Game as “Digu” and, where practical, link to diguapp.com. Do not remove or crop out our name, logo or copyright notices, and do not present the artwork or footage as your own work.

6What you may not do

Except where the law gives you a right we cannot exclude, you may not:

• Copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute the app, this website or any artwork, sound, text or code from them, other than as section 5 allows.
• Modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works from the Game or any part of it, including re-skinned, cloned or renamed versions.
• Decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer or otherwise attempt to obtain the source code of the app or of our servers, or to extract assets from them.
• Sell, rent, lend, sublicense or otherwise commercialise the Game, its assets or access to it.
• Remove, hide or alter any copyright, trademark or other ownership notice.
• Use the Digu name, logo or artwork to suggest that a product, service, page or account is made, endorsed or approved by us when it is not.
• Mirror, frame or scrape this website or the Game's servers, or use automated tools to access them other than as we publish for that purpose.

Doing any of these is a breach of the Terms and Conditions and may end your licence to use the Game. Where the law allows we will also pursue our rights directly, and we cooperate with Apple, Google and hosting providers in doing so.

7Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in what you submit to the Game — your display name, an avatar, the text of a support message or report, or anything else you send us. By submitting it you grant DIGU APP a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, reproduce and use it for the purpose of running, supporting and improving the Game, including showing your display name and avatar to the players you sit at a table with.

You confirm that what you submit is yours to submit and does not infringe anyone else’s rights. We may remove or reset content that does, or that breaches the Terms, and we will tell you why.

8Reporting copyright infringement

We respect the intellectual property of others, and we ask the same of the people who use Digu. If you own, or are authorised to act for the owner of, a copyrighted work and you believe it is used in the Game or on this website without permission, please send a notice to support@diguapp.comwith the subject “Copyright notice”.

8.1 What to include

So that we can act on it, your notice needs to contain all of the following:

We acknowledge every notice, review it promptly, and respond to you. Where a claim is valid we remove or disable access to the infringing material — in the app, on this website or both — and, where the material was submitted by a player, we notify that player and may act on their account under the Terms. Where a notice is incomplete we will tell you what is missing; where we believe it is mistaken we will explain why.

Please do not send a notice unless you genuinely believe your rights are infringed. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for the costs and damages that result.

8.3 Counter-notice

If content you submitted to Digu was removed following a notice and you believe that was a mistake, email the same address with the subject “Copyright counter-notice”, identify the material, explain why you have the right to use it, and include your contact details and a statement of accuracy. We will review it and may restore the material.

9Copies of Digu

Apps, games, websites, pages or accounts that copy the Digu app — its artwork, code, name, logo, text or interface — infringe our rights and we take action against them. That includes reporting them to Apple, Google and any other store or platform that carries them, and sending our own notices to the hosting providers involved.

If you spot a copy of Digu, we would be grateful to hear about it at support@diguapp.com. A traditional Digu game built independently with its own artwork, code and branding is not a copy, and we have no quarrel with it — see section 2.

10Governing law

This page, and any dispute about the ownership or use of the Game and its content, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and the courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction. Where the law of the country you live in gives you rights we cannot exclude, those rights are not affected.

11Changes to this page

We may update this page as the Game changes or as the law requires. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. This page forms part of the Terms and Conditions; if the two ever conflict, the Terms govern.
